Signalis is a game that comes to life with the help of the rose engine and it is a simple, classical inspired, and pure, honest horror gaming experience with no repetitive filler content. It offers a unique sci-fi artistic style of horror and a lyrical story telling experience packaged with Japanese, German, sexy but still fitting art style.

Gamers across all platforms such as Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S consoles, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 along side those on the Nintendo Switch and PC can get their hands on it digitally available now and soon in February of 2023 in physical form. It's also available through Xbox Game Pass.
Gameplay
Signalis is a simple game that is reminiscence of the original classical survival video games like Silent Hill and the resident Evil. It's a top down view, pixel survival shooter, art and minor melee abilities with the limited amount of items to navigate the world.
It's a science fiction only narrative game for one player with a storyline that drives the drama home with a variety of melee weapons that force the battle to be played out at a weapons distance, like shotguns and pistols.
The game world is all interconnected rooms where you search for keys or objects that aid in the puzzles by joining items into safe rooms allowing you to have the tools you require in order to survive.
There will be enemies to fight that can be pushed when you don't have ammo in the shotguns or pistols you encounter throughout the game world while trying to make sense of what and why you are doing what you are doing in this enigmatic planet.
The game is initially simple and easy, but you'll find that the difficulty gets more difficult as the game progresses at times, to the point of exhaustion, with enemies that will revive and appear out of the floors and vents, as well as simple, straightforward, and enjoyable boss fights that are claustrophobic and squeezing.
I'd say it is not the games blame however, if you advance in the game significantly for two or three hours in and then stop for a couple of days, coming back to the game can be a challenge because the game doesn't necessarily spoonfeed you what you were expected to do next. And due to the map being somewhat difficult to grasp novice players may be put off initially however, if you follow the guides and strengthen your brain muscles, trust me the pain is worth it.
The variety of the enemy is a bit limited for my liking however, it was created by two people, so I can accept that because what's there is mostly simple, classical, and effective use of survival horror enemy game design.
Story
The game's story takes place in a dystopian future presented in a way that makes you consider the story's ending and the meaning and the meaning behind the story, not simply playing the game and get told what the story means. It is your job to think about it.

Personally, I found the narrative mechanisms of the female employees and the male and female representation by the machines of a communist-style work environment fascinating.
I won't go much in the details in order to keep from spoilers So let me simply note that this isn't an easy story to digest and leaves you to determine, in my opinion the meaning behind things, for it is not founded on logic or facts in the sense that it is.
Graphics/Performance
In terms of graphics and performance, Signalis the game, I will not be doing a deep analysis because it performs good and it looks good for its unique art style. It runs efficient and beautifully on every device that you play it on. https://streamingliveacademy.com/silent-hill-meets-ghost-in-the-shell-signalis-review-survival-horror-game/ hope it is brought to mobile like iPhone and Android soon.
I do recommend playing it on an OLED Tv or Monitor for it's stunning.

Sound
When it comes to the sound, you can simply listen:
For being done mostly by two people, I think it's sound production is simple, yet really effective at creating a claustrophobic adrenaline rush accompanied with a calmness that transforms the entire experience into a roller coaster of survival fear and terror.
Achievements/Fan Service
On the achievements side, the game is actually easy to get all the achievements and according to trueachievements.com, you can get them all with an 8 to 10 hours. You could even complete it faster if you would like to speed it up.
On the fan service side to things the anime Japanese depicted characters are cute gorgeous eyes, beautiful eyes. The feminine image is depicted in the art style and I find it fitting and satisfying. So I give it a thumbs up man of culture and if you feel it's not enough, I'm going to advise you to touch some grass right now. Then, stop the video and go.
Conclusion Review Silent Hill Meets Ghost In The Shell Signalis survival horror game review
To end, I'll declare that this is among those survival horror titles that be remembered in the history books as a basic but really top-quality Indie developer. A success story game in which I would recommend to anyone who loves survival horror. Specially, classical style Evil, resident and Silent Hill titles needs to give it a chance and experience.
I don't usually replay all of my single player games completely, so I'm not aiming for the extra endings, but I can say I'm glad and proud to have been able to go on this amazing journey by the publisher of the rose engine.
